U of Iowa's Dunn Quartet

Tuesday, May 20, 2025 (7:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

In partnership with the Capitol Theater and the University of Iowa Arts Share Program, Burlington Public Library will host a free concert by the Dunn Graduate String Quartet, a unique program for incoming graduate students in the university's School of Music led by Professor Elizabeth Oakes, the head of the university’s Iowa Chamber Music Residency Program.

The Dunn Quartet has studied a wide range of repertoire, from classical to contemporary, and have preformed in venues across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Tonight’s performance features String Quartet No. 2 in A Minor by Florence Price and Strong Quartet No. 12, Op. 96, American by Antonin Dvorak.

Follow the sound of music to the genealogy/reference room at the east end of the library.

The program is free and open to the public; all are welcome.
