Code Red presents The Vagina Monologues, a wonderful night of funny, poignant, and thought-provoking theater to raise funds for Period Poverty Awareness.
The Vagina Monologues is an iconic feminist creation written by Eve Ensler, and is exactly that: monologues about vaginas.
Originally written in 1996, Ensler’s play explores themes like menstruation, genital mutilation, consensual and non consensual sexual encounters, childbirth, and much more from a woman's point of view. This is an incredibly fun, humbling and powerful experience, not to be missed.
Proceeds will go directly to Code Red to support their efforts to supply women with free menstrual products with dignity and education.
Tickets are $10 (plus $3 fee online) and available on the Capitol Theater website.
