The Southeast Iowa Veterans Stand Down Event is gearing up to welcome an outstanding show of support for regional veterans! Join the SEIA Veterans Services & Supports Coalition to receive health & wellbeing centered direct services, resources, connections, & information on Friday, July 24th anytime from 7am-4pm. On-site event offerings include: access to direct health care service delivery (dental, mental & physical), personal connections to VA leaders and systems of support (county, state & federal), live presentations from aligned experts centering the health & wellbeing of veterans, regional First Responder Mental Health Panel discussion about PTSD hosted by Quad Cities Vet Center leader & Air Force Veteran, regional employers making personal connections with job seekers on-site, community-based resource fair (relevant to health & wellbeing scope of event), breakfast & lunch for all event attendees, & don’t forget - the Veterans Free Fare resource (funded by the City of Burlington) provides free, local transportation for all veterans via the Burlington Urban Service (B.U.S.).
