You're invited to join this exclusive event as the Des Moines County Historical Society unveils its newest exhibit space, "Over the Stacks," in the gorgeous wrought iron & glass stacks of the 1898 building which was originally the home of Burlington's public library - the first free public library in Iowa.

The Historical Society's redesigned gift shop will also be unveiled during this event, which features heavy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and chamber music from members of the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra.

Admission to the event is $75; proceeds benefit preservation efforts and programming at the Garrett-Phelps House Museum.
