Juneteenth National Independence Day (June 19) is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved people. It is celebrated on the anniversary of General Order No. 3, proclaiming freedom for enslaved people in Texas.
Everyone is welcome to come together in celebration of freedom at this free community event from noon to 5 PM on June 21, at DeEdwin & Gladys White Park, 300 Angular St.
With games and kids' activities, delicious homemade food, music and dancing, giveaways and fellowship, plus booths from many community organizations, this celebration offers something for everyone!
