Des Moines County 4-H Community Dinner

Join us on Tuesday evening, March 19, 2024, for our 9th Annual Des Moines County 4-H Community Dinner and Live Auction at Barn on the Ridge in Burlington, Iowa. Our evening meal will consist of delicious pork loins, prepared by the Des Moines Pork Producers, to be pared with all the fixins catered by 2 Chicks Catering. Each 4-H and Clover Kids Club will use their “Hands to Larger Service” and provide homemade desserts for the evening. Takeout will also be available again this year. Tickets for the dinner are $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for school age children. Continuing this year, a table for 10 can be reserved for $175.00. Tickets can be purchased by emailing Mary at steffene@iastate.edu or by calling the Des Moines County Extension Office at 319-671-7165. Tickets can also be purchased at the door if prior arrangements can not be made. This year we have a lot of exciting items on the auction with more items being delivered everyday. If interested in donating to this fundraiser, please contact Mary at the Des Moines County Extension Office for more information. All proceeds from the evening will continue to go towards offsetting the 4-H enrollment fees of our Des Moines County 4-H and Clover Kid members. The hope has always been that if youth are interested in joining 4-H, in Des Moines County, that they will be able to do so at no cost to them or their family. This past year, thanks to the gracious donations from the 2023 dinner, all members were able to participate for free! With your continued support of our 4-H Community Dinner, this opportunity can remain a reality. The 4-H Community Dinner welcomes our Clover Kid members and their families as well. The proceeds benefit everyone! We look forward to seeing everyone on March 19th at the Barn!
