About
The Project of the Year Award recognizes a project completed in 2024 that has made a lasting impact on Greater Burlington.
Eligible projects include new construction, programs, or initiatives making a difference in the community.
This award does not include renovations to existing buildings. For renovations, see the Best Renovation to a Facility award.
Award winners will be announced at the 2025 Annual Dinner on January 24, where they will claim their award in front of 500 community leaders, business owners, and peers.
Application Tips
A strong and well-written application is powerful and compelling to the judges. Consider these important points:
- Its About You! This is an opportunity for your project to receive well-deserved recognition. The judges want to hear about your accomplishments and successes, so bragging is encouraged!
- Understanding the Evaluation Process. Judges are a mix of Chamber Ambassadors and the Annual Dinner Committee members. They will consider how closely the nomination meets the award description and rate how well the details given supports the nomination.
- Tell a Story. Paint a unique picture of your history, entrepreneurial spirit, and accomplishments.
- Be Informative. Not all of the judges will be experts in your field. Write as if you are talking to a stranger.
Rules
- Construction related projects must have been completed in 2023.
- All other projects (initiatives, programs, events, etc.) must have been implemented or hosted in 2023.
- Winning business must be a Chamber of Commerce member.
