The Business Person of the Year Award recognizes business leaders who have demonstrated success in both civic and professional areas, specifically in the areas of growth, leadership, achievement, and community service or involvement. 

Award winners will be announced at the 2025 Annual Dinner on January 24, where they will claim their award in front of 500 community leaders, business owners, and peers. 

Application Tips

A strong and well-written application is powerful and compelling to the judges. Consider these important points: 

• Its About You!  This is an opportunity for you to receive well-deserved recognition. The judges want to hear about your accomplishments and successes, so bragging is encouraged! 
• Understanding the Evaluation Process. Judges are a mix of Chamber Ambassadors and the Annual Dinner Committee members. They will consider how closely the nomination meets the award description and rate how well the details given supports the nomination.
• Tell a Story. Paint a unique picture of your history, entrepreneurial spirit, and accomplishments. 
• Be Informative. Not all of the judges will be experts in your field. Write as if you are talking to a stranger.

Rules

1. Winners must be employed at a Chamber of Commerce member business.
